For those sites that are not suitable for conventional, unreinforced shallow foundations, Crossfield Consulting can design reinforced foundations – from shallow strips to rafts, ring beams and piled ground beams, sometimes in conjunction with ground treatment. Once designed for a particular unit, these can be re-used within future developments (subject to an assessment of ground conditions). This can provide a cost-effective solution for developers.
